Wind and Natural Gas Combined

Wind and Natural Gas Combined

The unpredictability of wind has a negative impact on the participation of wind power. We provide continuous power by backing them up with a combined cycle gas turbine power plant.

Chickasha Wind & Natural Gas Combined Cycle Project

There are two major attributes of variable renewable generation that notably impact the participation on power exchanges: variability and uncertainty. Due to variability and uncertainty, wind plants cannot participate in the electricity market.

Our project provides continuous guaranteed power from wind plants by backing them up with a combined cycle gas turbine power plant.

CCGT power plants have significantly lower total costs of covering
the peak load in the system compared to other power plants.
